Over six decades, our family-owned charter business has grown from a single bus into a fleet that covers 3-seater VIP sedans through to 80-seater coaches — with every size in between. Most of our larger vehicles are Mercedes-Benz, chosen for safety, comfort, and reliability across long-distance Australian touring routes.
Our coaches are modern and well-maintained, with features that vary by vehicle size and class: reclining seating, panoramic tinted windows, reverse-cycle air conditioning, USB charging, GPS, and onboard PA systems are standard across the larger coaches. Optional fit-outs include WiFi, audio-visual entertainment, privacy curtains, and onboard restrooms.
For luggage-heavy trips, enclosed trailers are available from most locations. For touring, we offer a fully-equipped camp kitchen trailer. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available on request — please mention accessibility requirements when you book.
We invest heavily in keeping vehicles to a high standard because three generations of families have built this business on that reputation, and we'd like to keep doing this for at least one more.

Our fleet ranges from premium 3-seater VIP sedans through to 80-seater coaches. Browse representative vehicles below; specific allocations depend on availability at the time of booking.
Mercedes V-Class in executive configuration. Premium leather seating with 3-passenger VIP layout, ample legroom, climate control, and luxury finish throughout. Ideal for executive airport transfers, VIP guest movement, small premium wedding parties, and discreet private hires.
Mercedes V220 SUV with seating for 7 passengers. General-purpose vehicle suited to short or long trips for small groups. Limited onboard luggage capacity; trailers available from most depots.
Mercedes Sprinter with 11-passenger configuration. General-purpose mini-bus suited to short or long trips for small to medium groups. Limited onboard luggage capacity; trailers available from most depots.
Mercedes Sprinter 316-CDI with configurations from 14 to 17 passengers. General-purpose mid-size bus for short or long trips. Limited onboard luggage capacity; trailers available from most depots.
Typically Mitsubishi Rosa, Toyota Coaster, or similar mid-size bus. Includes air conditioning, forced-air ventilation, seatbelts, and sound system. General-purpose vehicle for short or long trips with medium-sized groups. Limited onboard luggage capacity; trailers available from most depots.
Larger Mercedes Sprinter configuration with 25-passenger seating. Includes air conditioning, forced-air ventilation, seatbelts, and sound system. Suited to medium groups for both short transfers and longer day trips.
Mid-size Mercedes coach with 38-passenger seating, including PA system. Suitable for short and long trips, day touring, and medium group movements. Ample luggage space — usually room for one full-size case and one carry-on per passenger.
Full-size Mercedes coach with 50-passenger seating, full PA system, and a range of optional comfort features. Excellent for school excursions, sporting groups, weddings, and multi-day touring. Ample luggage capacity for full-size cases.
Full-size Mercedes coach with 57–60 passenger seating. Identical premium fit-out to our 50-seater plus additional seating capacity. Ideal for larger school groups, sporting clubs, and event transport.
Our largest coach format, configured for up to 80 passengers in high-density layout. Suited to large school movements, sporting clubs travelling together, conference and event shuttles, and major group transfers. Full coach amenities and underneath luggage storage. Limited availability — please book well in advance for peak periods.

If you're between sizes, the larger vehicle is usually the better call — more luggage room and a more comfortable trip for everyone.
Yes — wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available on request. Please mention accessibility requirements when you submit your quote so we can allocate the right vehicle. The 50- and 57–60 seater Mercedes coaches have wheelchair access as an optional configuration; smaller wheelchair-friendly vehicles are also available for smaller groups.
Larger coaches (38 seats and up) have underneath luggage storage suitable for one full-size case and one carry-on per passenger. Smaller vehicles have limited onboard luggage capacity, but we offer enclosed luggage trailers from most depots for groups travelling with significant luggage. For touring with self-catering, we also have a fully-equipped camp kitchen trailer available.
USB charging and AUX/Bluetooth are standard across most vehicles. WiFi is standard on some coaches and optional on others — for long trips where connectivity matters, mention it at booking and we'll allocate a WiFi-equipped vehicle. Audio-visual entertainment (screens, DVD playback) is similarly optional on larger coaches.
Yes. Sunshine Coast Bus Lines operates under Queensland Vehicle Operator Accreditation Q900486602 (Department of Transport and Main Roads). All vehicles meet current Australian Design Rules, undergo scheduled inspections, and are regularly serviced. Every driver holds a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check), and the company carries public liability and passenger insurance for all charter services.
Our primary fleet is Mercedes-Benz — V-Class sedans, Sprinter mini-buses, and Tourismo coaches. We also operate Mitsubishi Rosa and Toyota Coaster mid-size buses for the 21–24 seater range. Mercedes is our preferred brand for safety, comfort, and reliability over long-distance Australian touring routes.
By appointment, yes — visits to our Kunda Park depot can be arranged for larger or sensitive bookings (weddings, sporting clubs, school groups). Call us to schedule. For most bookings, the photos and specifications above are representative; the exact vehicle allocated depends on availability on your booking date.
